Mr. Desai holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and two Masters degrees, one in Computer Science and one in Educational Leadership. He began his teaching career at Dwight Englewood where he taught Upper School math classes, advised a Financial and Consulting Club, and coached soccer and tennis
Dr. Kevin Merges is the Chief Global Impact Officer for Saddle River Day School. He speaks regularly at national and international conferences on educational technology and the future needs and directions of education.
Mrs. Deirdre Angrick is the Academic Dean at Saddle River Day School, where she has taught both Middle School and Upper School Math classes for 20 years. As the Academic Dean, she works closely with students, faculty, and administration in an effort to ensure academic excellence. She manages a healthy professional development budget, and encourages faculty from all divisions to take advantage.
Anastasia Kelly brings a rich 18-year background in education to her current role as the Middle School Head at Saddle River Day School, a position she has held for the past two years. In her tenure at Saddle River Day School, which spans six years, Anastasia has been focused on infusing innovation and engagement into the middle school curriculum.
Before ascending to her current role, Stasia served as the Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. In this capacity, she collaborated on developing cutting-edge curriculum and programs centered on innovation, design thinking, and cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset among students.
Stasia’s expertise in STEM education, evidenced by her STEM certification, have contributed to the educational community, particularly through her workshops aimed at empowering teachers with skills in STEM education and project-based learning.
Geoff Bowman has spent 20 years working in admissions, both at independent schools and at the university level, and has served as Director of Admissions at Saddle River Day School since 2018. During his time as Director, Geoff helped lead SRDS to achieve five consecutive years of growth in inquiries, applications, and enrollment, including setting record enrollment totals for the last two years. Prior to Saddle River Day School, Geoff served first as a Dean of Students and history teacher and then as Director of Admissions at The Doane Stuart School. Geoff began his career in university admissions as an Associate Director of Admissions at Union College in Schenectady, NY, where he recruited internationally and led recruiting efforts for one of the college’s largest markets. Geoff holds a B.A. in European History from Union College.
Joe McMenamin is the Dean of Faculty and Gateway Diploma Coordinator at Saddle River Day School. He did his undergraduate at Providence College and earned a Master’s from Rutgers University. As Dean of Faculty, Joe manages SRDS’ curriculum, runs the in-school professional development days, runs hiring, and works with teachers to improve instruction across all three divisions. As the Gateway Diploma Coordinator, he runs the Gateway Program which is SRDS’ honors diploma program. In this program, students take advanced classes and work on a year-long, self-directed major project. Students who successfully complete the program earn an honors diploma.
